Privacy Notice

PokéDraft Battles does not require an account. We collect only the information needed to operate drafts, leaderboards, private multiplayer rooms, security, and playtesting access.

Information we process

• Trainer names, teams, scores, battle totals, and submission times when a run is saved.
• Temporary trainer names, room codes, access tokens, draft state, and battle state for multiplayer rooms.
• Essential browser storage used to reconnect to a room and an essential playtester-access cookie when that feature is used.
• Technical records normally produced by hosting and security systems, such as IP address, browser information, request times, and error or security logs.
• Contact-form details, including a private reply email and anything you choose to include in a request.

How information is used and shared

We use this information to run the game, display leaderboards, reconnect players, prevent abuse, diagnose errors, and protect the service. Saved leaderboard names, teams, and results are public. Multiplayer names and game state are shown to the other player in the private room. Do not use your real name or include personal information in a trainer name.

Service providers may process technical information for us, including the website host and its infrastructure providers. Pokémon artwork, sprites, and cries are requested from PokéAPI repositories hosted on GitHub, so those providers may receive ordinary request information such as an IP address and browser headers.

Retention and choices

Multiplayer rooms expire after six hours and are removed during routine cleanup. Browser room data remains on the device until the room is left, replaced, expired, or browser storage is cleared. The playtester cookie expires after fourteen days. Leaderboard entries remain until removed or the leaderboard is retired. Contact requests are retained only as reasonably necessary to respond, document the request, and resolve disputes, and are automatically deleted after no more than approximately 24 months. Hosting and security logs are retained under the applicable provider's operational schedules.

You may request access, correction, or deletion of information associated with you. Include the trainer name, approximate date, team, and score so the entry can be located. We may request reasonable verification before acting on a request.

Children

The service is intended for players age 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted personal information should contact us so it can be removed.

Cookies & Browser Storage

We currently use only storage needed for requested game functions: a playtester-access cookie and session/local storage used to restore a private multiplayer room. We do not currently use advertising or marketing cookies. Because these technologies are necessary for the features the player requests, the site does not display an unnecessary opt-in banner. If optional analytics, advertising, or marketing technology is introduced, consent controls will be added where required.

You can clear this data through your browser settings, but doing so may close playtester access or prevent multiplayer reconnection.

Terms of Use

By using PokéDraft Battles, you agree to these terms. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use the service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. Do not use the service if you are under 13.

• Use a fictional trainer name. Do not submit another person's personal information.
• Do not submit hateful, obscene, threatening, infringing, impersonating, or otherwise abusive names.
• Do not interfere with the service, bypass access controls, automate submissions, manipulate scores, or exploit bugs.
• We may reject names and remove fraudulent, inappropriate, duplicated, or technically invalid leaderboard entries.
• Room codes and access tokens are temporary. Share a room code only with the player you intend to invite.
• The game has no purchase, wager, prize, or cash value.

The service and simulated battle results are provided for entertainment on an "as available" basis. Rules, data, availability, and features may change, and uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed. To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-data damages arising from use of the service. Nothing here limits rights that cannot legally be waived.

Accessibility

We want the game to be usable with keyboards, assistive technology, browser zoom, reduced-motion settings, and audio controls. If a feature prevents you from playing or reading the site, contact us with the page, device, browser, and a description of the problem. We will make reasonable efforts to provide an accessible alternative and correct the issue.

PokéDraft Battles is an unofficial, noncommercial fan project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, Game Freak, or Creatures. Pokémon names, characters, artwork, sprites, sounds, and related marks belong to their respective owners. Pokémon data and asset links are provided through PokéAPI.
